    A filter medium for use in a vacuum cleaner is shown with external brush means which is movable across the filter face for cleaning the soil therefrom. The brush means may either be moved manually, by automatic controls, by time switches, by pressure differentials operating in a piston-cylinder arrangement, or by a pressure indicator unit which monitors the clogging condition of the filter. Moreover, control means are provided for protecting the vacuum cleaner drive motor from damage from liquids when liquids may be drawn into the vacuum cleaner.

    The invention relates to filtering and can be used in a number of industries where cleaning of liquids is necessary. A known liquid purification device comprising a capacity for the liquid to be cleaned with an inlet pipe in parallel with the installed filters and a regeneration device l. The disadvantages of the known installation are the complexity of operation and the unreliability of its operation. The purpose of the invention is to increase the reliability and ease of operation of the filter. The goal is achieved by the fact that the installation is equipped with sealed chambers placed in the upper part of the tank along the axis of the filter, with a central opening in the bottom part and a rear device made in the form of a ball mounted in the central opening of the chamber connected to the float. below the inlet of the tank, and the device for regeneration is made in the form of brushes, provided with a reciprocating mechanism, the reciprocating mechanism being made in. the form of a left-handed hydraulic cylinder interconnected with the container and hermetic chambers. The drawing shows the scheme of the proposed installation. The installation contains a tank 1 with an inlet 2, filters 3 and 4, along the axis of which sealed chambers 5 and 6 are installed with central holes 7 and 8. Brushes 9 and 10 of the regenerating device 11 are placed on the filter surface of the filter; brushes are connected to the return mechanism -accessible movement, made in the form of a hydraulic cylinder with a piston 12 fixed on the rod 13 connected to the spring 14, the hydraulic cylinder is connected by a pipe 15 including a valve 16, with a capacity 1 and a pressure gauge 17 and interconnected with the cavities of the sealed chambers. Each central hole 7 and 8 of the sealed chambers 5 and 6 are blocked by balls 18 and 19, which are connected to the stem 20 and the float 21. The proposed installation works in the following way.
